Vacation - Part1

I love vacation.

It is such a sweet time to enjoy our children, get away from the typical schedule and busyness, and make memories together.

And a benefit of having a blog is getting to use it as a "virtual scrapbook," so bear with me as I take full advantage and attempt to capture our vacation for us to remember later...

We drove ALL day Friday, stopping at Steak and Shake for a quick lunch, surprising the kids with a stop at the St. Louis Arch, grabbing Taco Bell for dinner, and driving through a local frozen custard place for concretes after our kids were all in their jammies and sound asleep in their carseats.

Saturday we went to this super ecclectic restaurant full of antiques and unique touches.  It was certainly a hit for the kids, as they brought a basket full of toys for the kids to play AND let them each pick a toy to take with them.  We all loved it.  (Seriously, if you are ever in Branson, you need to check this place out...Billy Gail's.  They had the most enormous pancakes I had ever seen in my life and everyone there was so friendly...five different employees asked us for our drink orders...no joke.)  We got groceries for the week, swam in the pool in the afternoon, made dinner at our condo, and watched a movie after the kids were sleeping.

Sunday morning was spent mini-golfing and playing at the park.  After lunch, the girls napped and we played card games with the boys and did some other activities, too.  We enjoyed our laid-back, unscheduled day, and it was complete with games, lots of laughing, tickling, and wrestling.

To be continued...
