Vacation - Part 2

Today after naptime, we jumped into the car for a drive with the hopes of finding a Starbucks for an afternoon treat.  We were going to swim but it had been storming, so we were looking for a different activity.

Boy, were we in for a treat!  We found a Starbucks, got iced coffees, split a pastry, and started walking around this totally unexpected, new-to-us area.  Surrounded by flowers, fountains, and music, we walked around a trendy, up-scale shopping area, watched a fountain water and fire show (with an amazingly perfect rainbow that came at the exact same time), found an outdoor kids' area to play, and walked along the river's boardwalk.

To top it all off, we found a Lego Brickation, a store area devoted entirely to building legos in all colors, shapes, and sizes.  My kids were in heaven.  They could sit and build and race cars all through the whole store, so we took full advantage and stayed as long as we could!

It was such a treat to plan a brief walk for a change of scenery from our condo and to instead stumble upon hours of entertainment.  We had to tear the kids away to make a late dinner with promises of coming back before we leave town.

It was SUCH a lovely afternoon.

(Sammy crashed on the way there and slept awhile in his stroller...he was soooo tired!)

The girls!

 Puddles after the rain!

 Building a princess castle.

Pirate hats and magazines from the Lego store!!

As I was making dinner, I looked and saw Ella, just in a diaper and a swim hat.  She is hilarious.

I seriously am LOVING vacation!
